Hailing from the '80s, this bass, labelled 'Baker Midnight' boasts a tidy spec, and workmanship that you won't find on modern guitars.
 
There's a solid mahogany body, sculpted into that elegant and rather unique offset shape, a gloss maple heel-adjustable neck, some nicely dressed frets and a vintage-voiced single pickup. This pup is a subtle thing with a much lower output than modern guitars. This may need a little attention. It does however sound nice when cranked up.
 
There's also a period hard case included that's in decent nick for forty years' in the game.
 
The bass is offered in fair condition with some pick-crazing to the finish and some unobtrusive dings here and there. The rear cavity cover is also missing, revealing some surface corrosion to the pots. One tuner has been replaced. The hard case is fully functional and structurally sound. The leather handle cover has perished.
 
The guitar has also been treated to a service that includes strings, fretboard treatment, action setting, and a deep clean.
