Fabulous 1991 Hamer Centaura Superstrat finished in ebony, with period hard-case.
An American made superstrat of refinement and peak performance from Hamer here. Features include sculpted alder construction, three smoking Hamer USA pickups arranged in HSS configuration with a coil-tapped humbucker, the original Floyd Rose locking tremolo, a slab rosewood fretboard with offset inlays and jumbo frets, a satisfying 25.5" scale, reverse headstock and one of the most playable shallow neck profiles you'll find.
This is a finely crafted piece of precision heavy riffing design and here's Hamer's take:
The Centaura represents the Hamer philosophy in its most distilled form. It incorporates many of the time honoured Hamer design features and construction techniques, bringing total performance within reach of every serious player. Tested and refined in studios and on worldwide tours by cutting edge artists like Billy Idol's Steve Stevens, prototype designs for the Centaura underwent the type of real world use and abuse that the tools of the musicians' trade must conquer.
Not to be confused with the later Korean-made 'Slammer' series, this is a purebred American machine.
This guitar is offered in good used conditon for age. All original, with only minor wear. It plays and sounds just as good as you'd expect a vintage American-made guitar to be.
The fitted hard case looks to be non-original but is of good quality and is structurally sound.
It has also been treated to a full String Theory service that includes a fresh set of D'Addario strings, fretboard treatment, action setting, electrics check and a deep clean.
