Spector have been making bass guitars for famous artists since 1977. Since then Stuart Spector's select team of designers has grown in stature, often in close collaboration with many world-famous performers. Gene Simmons commissioned several basses from Spector in the late 1970's and Sting favoured Spectors, relying upon them while out on the Police's Synchronicity Tour.
 
As you'd expect, these bases represent precision engineering and cutting-edge design, starting with that gorgeous aesthetic. This Legend 4 boasts an exquisitely carved Ned Steinberger-designed body, beautifully rendered in solid ash and topped by quilted maple.
 
Its easy-playing 5-bolt neck is built from three pieces of hard maple and fortified with a two-way heavy-duty truss rod for immaculate stability and precision; on top, an ebony fretboard with dot inlays delivers luxurious playability without the price premium.
 
Onboard you'll find a pair of custom-wound Bartolini P/J pickups and a proprietary TonePump Jr. active preamp packing 12dB of cut and boost where it counts.

This bass is offered in good condition. Fully functional and playing well, there are some minor cosmetic bumps by the input jack. These don't detract from what is a truly stunning bass.
 
It has also been treated to a full String Theory service that includes strings, fretboard treatment, action setting, electrics check and a deep clean.
