Since 1951, the Precision Bass has been shaking floors around the world on stages manned by bassists as diverse as Dee Dee Ramone, Sting and Iron Maiden's Steve Harris among countless others. Famed for its punchy tone and comfortable styling, this "Funk Machine" as described by Motown's James Jamerson is one of the most versatile and iconic instruments ever made.
 
This Columbus tribute features a solid, contoured solid body, potent split coil electrics, a dark rosewood fretboard and a beautiful sunburst finish.

This bass is offered in good conditon for age with only minor wear that belies it's forty years in the game.
 
It has also been treated to a full String Theory service that includes a fresh set of strings, fretboard treatment, action setting and a full electrics check.
 
Viewing is always advised and very welcome by appointment in our Bristol studio. Further pictures also available on request as well as a condition report. If purchasing unseen, please be aware that this is a pre-loved instrument and will have commensurate wear. Part exchanges are always considered.
