Wonderful mid-80s Westone Thunder 1-A V3 bass guitar finished in classic ebony with hard case.
 
Thunder by name and indeed by nature. A truly belting bass this; from the elegant double cutaway design, to the dark aesthetic and the antiquated branding. This bass is actually version three of the 1A series with the upgraded Magnabass pickup.
 
It's a solid plank of quality Japanese ash & maple, put together with care and finesse in the legendary Matsumoku factory. The fets are in excellent shape on that ebony fretboard and the Magnabass split coil pickup is suitably gutsy, with plenty of that P-bass mid-range thump.
 
Also included is a quality fur-lined hard-case.

This bass is offered in good condition for age with only minor wear.
Cosmetically good with minimal wear, one tuner is missing a small plastic washer. The tuner works fine. It plays and sounds superb.
 
It has also been treated to a full String Theory service that includes strings, fretboard treatment, action setting, electrics check and a deep clean.
 
Viewing is always advised and very welcome by appointment in our Bristol studio. Further pictures also available on request as well as a condition report. If purchasing unseen, please be aware that this is a pre-loved instrument and will have commensurate wear. Part exchanges are always considered.
